Michael S. Witmer Obituary

Michael S. Witmer, 75, of Belleville, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024, at his home.


Born March 24, 1949, in Camp Hill, he was the son of the late Charles ‘Bud’ and Claudine (Barnes) Witmer.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sally (Bedlyon) Witmer; siblings, Patrick Witmer and Gretchen Witmer.


He is survived by his daughter, Valerie (Myers) LaSon, of Lewistown; granddaughter, Charly Witmer and husband, Xavier Thompson, Belleville; a niece, Jennifer Taylor and husband, Bryan, and their son, Dylan, of Mechanicsburg.


He was a United States Air Force veteran and stationed at Edwards Air Force Base during the Vietnam era.


Michael worked in construction.


He loved fishing, hunting and listening to music. He enjoyed building things, and was a good handyman.


Services are private and at the convenience of the family.


Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
