Michael "Mike" Bryon Tate, Jr.

Michael “Mike” Bryon Tate Jr., 45, of Yeagertown, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 12:11 p.m., Monday, Sept. 4, 2023, at his home.

Born March 31, 1978, in Lewistown, he was a son of Michael Bryon Tate Sr., of Milroy, and Mary (Burkholder) Barger, of Granville.

In addition to his parents, Mike is survived by his wife, Gloria (Diven) Tate, the love of his life whom he married in 2021; father’s companion, Mary Rogers; mother's husband, David Barger;  children, Michael Bryon Tate III and wife, Katrina, and Madison Tate, both of Pittsburgh, and Max Tate, of Yeagertown; step-children, Jesse Krepps, of Lewistown, and Hailey Bumbaugh and Caleb Bumbaugh, both of Yeagertown; and beloved step-children, Wyatt Goss, of Reedsville, and Drake Goss, of Lewistown; siblings, Michaela Seiberling and husband, Derrick, of Lewistown, Elizabeth Barger, of Granville, and David Barger Jr. and wife, Michaela, of State College; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Michael was a Lewistown Area High School graduate, Class of 1996.  He earned his A.S. Degree in Marketing from Pennsylvania State University.

He was the owner and operator of GME Communications in Yeagertown.

Mike was a member of Lewistown Assembly of God Church and was very active in his community.  He was a lifetime member of City Hook & Ladder Hose Co. and ran calls with other fire houses, was a disc jockey for G-Man Entertainment, and participated in Relay for Life fundraising events.

A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, at Lewistown Assembly of God Church, 160 Summit Drive, Lewistown, followed by the funeral service at 4 p.m., with Pastor Kirk Nagel officiating.
