Nancy Marie Bay Obituary

Nancy ‘Marie’ Bay, 85, of Lewistown, passed away March 26, 2025, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.


She was born September 14, 1939, in Mt. Union, she was the daughter of the late Harry S. and Ethel H. (Drake) Leonard.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Bay; son, Michael John Bay; two sisters, Betty Zook Konsella, and Shirley D, Pollock.


She is survived by; siblings, Fred D. Leonard, of Mt. Union, and Linda L. Morgan, of Mt. Union; grandchildren, Jacob Bay and wife, Hilary, Virginia Bay, Charlotte Bay, and Samuel Bay; and three great-grandchildren.


She was a member of Grove Memorial United Methodist Church.


Marie graduated from  Orbisonia High School.


After high school she went to school for nursing and became a registered nurse. She worked for Lewistown Hospital, where she later retired.


In her earlier years, she enjoyed golfing at the Country Club. She loved to garden and was on the Garden Club of Lewistown.


She will be sadly missed by her long-time caretaker and wonderful friend Tanya Wilson and husband, Pete, and their son, Brody, and her favorite pet in the world, golden-retriever, Charles Henry Wilson.


Per her wishes, no services will be held.


Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
