Nancy J. Casner, 85, of Lewistown, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on Sept. 20, 1936, in Alfarata, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Jean E. (Loudenslager) Brower.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry O. Casner, and a daughter, Sally Jo Harper.
She is survived by: children, Laura J. Whipple and husband, Charles, of Lewistown, and James E. Casner and wife, Virginia, of Arizona; two grandchildren, Devon, and Ashton; siblings, J. Timothy Brower and wife, Debbie, of Lewistown, and Pamela A. Smith and husband, Gregg, of Altoona; and nieces and nephews.
Nancy was a Jehovah's Witness.
She was a graduate of Lewistown High School, Class of 1954, and a 1956 graduate of the Northwest Institute of Medical Technology.
In her earlier years, she worked as a phlebotomist at Lewistown Hospital. She worked for Dr. Milton Cohen for 22 ½ years and retired in 1982.
Nancy truly enjoyed the beach, visiting old plantation homes in Virginia, and doing puzzles on her iPad.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street.
