Nancy Kay Hampton, 82, of Lewistown, passed away at 6:32 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Valley View Haven, Belleville.
Born Sept. 28, 1939, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Esther (Silks) Whitesel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Hampton.
Nancy is survived by: children, Chris Hampton and wife, Shawn, of Siglerville, and Lori Knable and husband, Todd, of McVeytown; three grandchildren, Julie Hampton, Aaron Knable and wife, Brooke, and Kari Metzler and husband, Lucas; great-grandchildren, Ella, Cael, Lyla and Jedd Metzler; sister, Carol Ann Parson, of Beavertown; and a special cousin who was like a sister, Bonnie Bearley and her husband, Bill, of Belleville.
She was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1957.
Nancy was a member of Lake Park United Methodist Church, where she had been very active.
She enjoyed puzzles and crafts with her sister, Carol Ann, and getting together with the “breakfast girls” from the Lewistown High School Class of 1957. Nancy loved watching birds and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 8, 2022, at Valley View Haven Chapel, 4702 East Main Street, Belleville, with Reverend Rick Bender officiating.
Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
