Olive Ruth Reigle

Olive Ruth Reigle, 97, of Reedsville, passed away on November 13, 2020, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

Born October 8, 1923, in Hunlock Creek, she was the daughter of the late Arthur L. Atherton and Ethel V. (Cragle) Atherton.

She was preceded in death by; her husband, Philip Robert (Bob) Reigle, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage until his death on May 21, 1998; four brothers, Charles, Glenn, Carl, and Albert; and four sisters, Mabel, Phyllis, Lois, and Loretta. Olive was the last of her generation.

Olive is survived by; her son, Scott Reigle, of Reedsville; grandson, Kevin Reigle and wife, Jaime, of Reedsville; and granddaughter, Jenna Reigle, of Perkasie; all of whom she loved dearly.

Olive graduated from Harter High School in West Naticoke in 1941. She graduated from Susquehanna University in 1944.

She taught business education in Mifflin County schools for 42 years including Reedsville High School, Armagh-Brown High School, and Kishacoquillas High School retiring in 1986.

Olive was a member of the East Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Church. During her retirement years, she helped with the Reedsville Area Meals on Wheels.

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, a Public Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the East Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Church. 

A private interment service will be held in the Church Hill Cemetery with the Pastor Pat Roller officiating.
