Patricia M. Speece, 82, of McClure, formerly of Treaster Valley, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 24, 1941, in Entriken, PA, she was the daughter of the late Melvin E. Fultz and Manis E. (Reed) Fryer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Speece on May 16, 2012; a sister, M. Kay Hunter; brother, Larry Dippery; brothers-in-law, Bill Hoover, and John Shawver; and a sister-in-law, Linda Fultz; one stepson and one step-grandson.
She is survived by her son, Harry G.D. Fultz and wife, Melissa, of Lewistown; a brother, Harry D. ‘Spike’ Fultz, of Lewistown; formally of New Lancaster Valley; sisters, Sara L. Hoover, of Siglerville and Susan J. ‘Susie’ Shawver, of McClure; brother-in-law, David Hunter, of Treaster Valley; and a step-daughter-in-law, Kim Rager-Espinoza, of Lewistown; three step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and step-great-great-grandchildren. Aunt Pat had many nieces and nephews that helped take care of her and loved her very much.
Patricia attended St. Marks United Methodist Church, in Havice Valley.
She was primarily a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and went on trips to Walt Disney World and Busch Gardens to see the Clydesdale horses, and Benezette, to see the elk. She liked going to the beach, going camping, and attending music events. She loved all animals, especially squirrels and often enjoyed feeding the birds.
Services are private and held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
