Paul S. Bishop, 82, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, at his home.
Born October 9, 1938, in Huntingdon, he was a son of the late Blanche Edna Marie (Bishop) Corbin.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by; his wife, Connie L. Bishop, who passed February 6, 2021; a sister, Leah Moyer; and three brothers, Pete Corbin, Walter Corbin, Bill Corbin.
He is survived by; children, Daniel P. Bishop and wife, Molly, of McClure, and Amy B. Christine and husband, Brian, of Lewistown; six grandchildren, Nikolas and wife Janna, Brice and wife, Sophie, Reese Christine, Tyler, Kelsey, and Garrett Bishop; three great-grandchildren, Bonnie, Josie and Dahli Christine; and siblings, Jane Middaugh, of Milroy, Becky Kauffman, of Belleville, Robert Corbin, of Lewistown; and Connie’s foster brother-in-law, David Baumgardner, of Lewistown.
Paul was a United States Army Veteran.
He was a member of Lewistown Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. He was an elder of the church, head usher, youth leader, and Sunday school teacher. Paul enjoyed woodworking and going hunting and was an avid Phillies fan.
In his earlier years, Paul was employed at Fisher/Sanyo Electronics in Milroy.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
A second viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Lewistown Christian and Missionary Alliance church, 50 Hudson Ave., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow with Rev. Neil Breneman and Rev. John Looney officiating.
The funeral service will also be available by livestream on the Lewistown Christian and Missionary Alliance Facebook page.
Interment will take place at Maitland Cemetery, with Military Honors by VFW Post 7011.
