Paul E. Burkett

Paul E. Burkett, 72, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024, at his home.

Born July 26, 1951, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late John F. and Louise (Baxter) Burkett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Burkett; siblings, Andrew Burkett, and Martha Rupert.

He is survived by two sons, Paul Burkett Jr. and Harold Burkett; two grandchildren; and siblings, Ann Royer, of Lewistown, Carol Potts and husband, Jack, of Lewistown, and Robert Burkett and wife, Sherylyn.

Paul was a United States Army Veteran.

He worked for Pennsylvania Insulting Glass in the shipping department.

Paul was the captain of the Post 7011 Honor Guard for over 20 years.

A viewing will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, with Pastor Mark Hill officiating.

Interment will take place at Mount Rock Cemetery, with military honors.
