Pearl L. Hackett of McClure peacefully departed on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the age of 101, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born May 19, 1923, in McClure, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Arla R. (Kline) Snyder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Fay Snyder, Floy Keeny, and Frances Erb; and son-in-law Lynn K. Kearns.
She is survived by her children Karen Kearns of McClure, Pastor Ray G. Hackett, Jr. and wife Marleen of Dalmatia, and Vickie Howard of Ohio; brother John J. Snyder and wife Jean of McClure; grandchildren Heinz, Ty and companion Shannon, Michael, Bethany, Rebekah and husband John, and Heidi; great grandchildren Rachel, Hannah, Isaiah, Sarah, Benjamin, and great step-grandchild Sara; and great-great step-grandchild Beckham.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She is remembered not only for her skill as a seamstress at Kirby Manufacturing in McClure, but also for her kindness and the warm, welcoming home she created for everyone she loved.
Per her wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 108 First Ave., Burnham.
