Perry D. Benson Jr., 71, of McVeytown, peacefully passed away June 24, 2019, surrounded by his family at Ohesson Manor.
Born Nov. 18, 1947, he was a son of the late Perry D. Benson Sr. and Sadie (Brunnet) Benson.
He is survived by: wife, Carol J. (Stoner) Benson, of McVeytown; sons, Perry Benson III, and partner, Scott Jenks, of Georgia, and Brian Benson and wife, Wendy, of McVeytown; two grandsons, Seth and Zane Benson; siblings, Barbara Sollers and husband, Thomas, of McVeytown, Donald Benson, and companion, Deb Breon, of Milroy.
Perry was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1966.
He was Methodist by faith.
After high school, Perry served in the United States Army Reserves.
He was employed by Sanyo, Marlette, Overhead Door and he owned West End Flooring.
Perry loved Corvettes and owned a 1961 Corvette that he restored. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting. He loved his dog, Missy, and spending time with family. His grandchildren were the light of his life.
Per his wishes, no public services will be held.
