Randall Dean Snyder

Randall Dean Snyder, 85, of Strodes Mills, Lewistown, passed away at 1:20 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2024, at his home.

Born June 18, 1939, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Russell and Lillian (Johnston) Snyder.

Randall is survived by:  wife, Winifred (Winn) Snyder, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage; children, Glenda Dunmire and husband, Robert, of Burnham, Russell Snyder, of Lewistown, and Rodger Snyder and wife, Tawni, of Strodes Mills; four grandchildren, Taylor Snyder and companion, Dylan McKnight, Dylan Snyder and companion, Ashley Crosson, Skyler Rossman and companion, Jason Buffington, and Matthew Snyder; four great-grandchildren, Kase Rossman, Kimber Rossman, Bristol McKnight, and Oliver Snyder; brother, Russell R. Snyder, of McClure; sister-in-law, Linda Snook, of Reedsville; and brother-in-law, Frank Winn and wife, Ruby, of Romney, W.V.

He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Alfarata.

He was employed as a crane operator for Standard Steel Corporation and retired with 40 years of service.

Randall was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and racing fan and raced sprint cars in his earlier years.  He enjoyed camping at Lake Raystown, traveling, and going on cruises.  He was a talented woodworker, enjoyed fishing, and was somewhat fanatical about eating on time.  Randall had a wonderful sense of humor and dearly loved his cats, Timmy, Sid, Little Girl and Burly.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
