Richard L. “Rick” DeArment, 68, of Lewistown, passed away Friday, June 25, 2021, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on October 28, 1952, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Frank and Violet E. (Shawver) DeArment.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; sister-in-law, Diane DeArment.
He is survived by; companion, Sheila Keister, of Lewistown; children, Michael DeArment and companion, Brenda Nace, of Arch Rock, Danielle Berry and husband, Dan, of Ickesburg, and Matt DeArment and wife, Michelle, of Juniata Terrace; grandchildren, Dillon Treaster, and wife, Tish, Gage Treaster and companion, Hailey Swartz, Cory Addison and Brooklyn; step-grandchildren, David Berry and Darren Clouser; siblings, Doris Chilcoat and husband, Guy, of Clark Summit, Kay Terry Marks, of Lewistown, and Dale DeArment, of Elizabethtown.
Rick was a 1972 graduate of Penn Highlands High School.
He served in the United States Army.
Rick worked as a truck driver for Overhead Door for many years, and lastly for Keystone Trucking in Scranton.
A receiving of friends will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a memorial service to follow at 7 p.m., with Pastor Kurt Swisher officiating.
