Ridge Ryen Rhodes, 29, of Lewistown, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 10, 2024, in Lewistown.
Born Nov. 12, 1994, in Lewistown, he was the son of Tami (Fisher) Leinaweaver and companion, Mike Harpster, of Thompsontown, stepfather, Keith Leinaweaver, of Millerstown, and Leon Rhodes Sr. and companion, Rebekah Long, of McVeytown.
He was preceded in death by his great-maternal grandmother, Wanda G. Brannon, and paternal grandmother, Janet E. Rhodes.
In addition to his parents and stepfather, Ridge is survived by: maternal grandmother, Carolyn Gibbins, of Lewistown; maternal grandfather, James Fisher and wife, Dianna, of Morgantown, Pa.; siblings, Leon Rhodes Jr. and children, Scott, Shy and Lee, of McVeytown, Rachel Rhodes and son, Noah F., of Lewistown, and River Rhodes and wife, Brooke and daughters, Layla and Lily, of Millerstown; and stepbrothers, John Leinaweaver, of Aspers, Pa., and Lee Leinaweaver and wife, Linda, of Boiling Springs.
Ridge attended Mount Union High School and later earned his GED.
He was previously employed at Stones Construction and most recently was working at Rancks Butcher Shop and dairy farm in Lewistown.
Ridge made great efforts in trying to be a better person for himself and his family. His family will remember him for his kind heart and for being a hard worker. He was remodeling his home and enjoyed farming, welding, working out at the gym, and spending time with family.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown, followed by the funeral service at Noon, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.
Interment will take place at Lind Memorial Cemetery, Green Avenue, Lewistown.
