Robert Thomas Long Sr., 90, of Lewistown, passed away at 10:20 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Greenwood Village.
Born Dec. 8, 1933, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late James E. Sr. and Catherine H. (Stimely) Long.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, George Long and James E. Long Jr., sisters, Peggy Hummel and Nancy Nicholson, and a daughter-in-law, Lisa Long.
Robert is survived by: wife, Connie (Blessing) Long; children, Elizabeth V. Long, of Santa Rosa, Calif., Robert T. Long Jr., of Lewistown, and Michael G. Long and wife, Karin, of Camp Hill; granddaughters, Rachel E. Leach and husband, Brandon, of Mount Holly Springs, and Heidi B. Long, of Hawaii; grandsons, Jackson Long and wife, Elda, of Myrtle Beach, and Nate Long, of Camp Hill; five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Kay V. Martin and husband, Donald, of Belleville.
He was a graduate of Lewistown High School, Class of 1952, and a U.S. Air Force veteran who served from 1952 to 1956 during the Korean Conflict.
Robert was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
He retired from the American Viscose Corporation.
Robert enjoyed fishing, gardening, and drinking his coffee.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown, followed by the memorial service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Chris Lutz officiating.
