Robert W. “Cricket” O’Hara, 88, of Lewistown, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Ohesson Manor.
Born Jan. 28, 1933, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Robert W. O’Hara Sr. and Margaret (Wagner) Webb O’Hara.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Margaret D. “Peg” O’Hara, Jan 26, 2021; son, Ronald A. O’Hara, in 1959; brother, Larry Webb; and sister, Linda Wakefield.
Robert is survived by his son, Robert A. O’Hara and companion, Theresa Wagner, of Lewistown.
He was a self-employed truck driver for 50 years with Sunderland Trucking, of McVeytown, Kerstetter’s, of Reedsville, and Strauser’s Towing and Heavy Duty Mobile, Huntingdon.
Early in life, Robert was an accomplished gymnast. He lived in Las Vegas for 20 wonderful years before returning to Lewistown. Robert was a car enthusiast and enjoyed boating at Lake Raystown.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Buck Carolus officiating.
Interment will take place at Lind Memorial Cemetery, Green Ave., Lewistown.
