Robert H. Raymond Jr., of Lewistown, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Centre Care in Bellefonte.
Born May 2, 1938, in Danville, PA, he was the son of the late Robert H. Raymond Sr. and Florence (Berninger) Raymond.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Carol H. (Henry) Raymond.
He is survived by; two sons, Robert H. Raymond III, of Lewistown, and Timothy M. Raymond and wife, Jill, of Selinsgrove; and two grandchildren, Alexander, and Abigail Raymond.
Bob was a 1956 graduate of Lewistown High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Bucknell University in 1960 and his graduate degree in law from the Dickinson School of Law in 1963. After completing his law degree, he entered the Army where he worked in military intelligence for several years.
Bob was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for most of his career and retired as the Deputy Chief Counsel.
Bob was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He volunteered his time with the First United Methodist Church and Meals on Wheels. Bob loved reading, doing crossword puzzles, going for long walks, and traveling the world with his wife.
Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
