Robin L. ‘Barney’ Macknair, 92, of McClure, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born on October 4, 1931, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Walter S. and Roxie (Krepps) Macknair.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Carl, George ‘Pete’, Jay ‘Popeye’, Blaine ‘Skipper’ Macknair, Gloria ‘Jim’ Bowersox, and Hazel ‘Hackey’ Epperson; brother-in-law, Kenneth Long.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (Beaver) Macknair, who he married July 30, 1998; and siblings, Gay M. Shilling, of South Carolina, Paul ‘Duke’ Macknair, of Lewistown, Reed ‘Butch’ Macknair and wife, Melanie, of Lewistown, Darlene ‘Susie’ Hinkle and husband, Malcolm, of Oregon, Dorine Long, of Schuylkill, Haven; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Vira Methodist Church, Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, and the Lewistown Moose Lodge #143.
Robin was a United States Army veteran.
He drove truck and was a farmer.
