Roger L. Aitkin, 45, of Lewistown, passed away at 1:11 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2021, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born July 17, 1975, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Perry E. Aitkin and Margaret C. (Goss) Aitkin, of Lewistown, who survives.
In addition to his mother, Roger is survived by: his loving wife, Sarakathryn I. “Kathy” (Bernstein) Aitkin; children, Dustin M. Aitkin and companion, Kimberly Lightner, of Harrisburg, and Morgan N. Aitkin and fiancé, Kevin Bair, of Lewistown; siblings, Tammy Woodal and husband, Donnie, of Burnham, Paul Aitkin and companion, Melissa Taylor, of Lewistown, and Teresa Aitkin and companion, Doug Woodward, of McVeytown; and his dog, Prince, whom he dearly loved.
Roger worked at Greenbrier Rail Services in Lewistown, for over ten years. He was currently employed as an iron worker by R N R Construction Company, State College.
He was a hard worker and a jack of all trades who could fix anything. Roger enjoyed hunting and riding four-wheelers.
A viewing will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, at Little Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Vira Road, Lewistown, with Reverend Robert Zorn officiating.
Masks and social distancing protocols will be required for both services.
