Rose E. Baumgardner, 97, of Yeagertown, passed away peacefully Monday, July 5, 2021, at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.
Born August 24, 1923, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late James Hubler and Ida Pearl (Lindsey) Hubler Aitkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: husband, Raymond S. Baumgardner, in 1974; a son, Ronald M. Baumgardner; sister, June Railing; and brothers, Robert, Clark, Ray, Cleon and John Aitkins.
Rose is survived by: children, Donald I. Baumgardner and wife, Jean, of Dothan, Ala., and Diane M. Baumgardner, of Yeagertown; six grandchildren, Christie, Wendy, Shawn, Donnie, Ronnie and Justin; six great-grandchildren, Jessica, Madisyn, Schae, Sierra, Taylor and Hadlee; and four great-great-grandchildren, Keaton, Aria, Ryder and Summer; and sister, Jennie Goss, of McClure.
She was a member of Yeagertown United Methodist Church.
Rose began working as a laundry attendant at the Hill Top Laundromat in 1972 until her retirement.
Rose loved spending time with her family, music, yodeling and playing the steel guitar.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Avenue, Burnham.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 9, at the Burnham Funeral Home, with Pastor Steven Small officiating.
Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
