Roy C. Deamer Sr., 83, of Yeagertown, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Geisinger – Lewistown Hospital.

Born January 6, 1942, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Paul L. Deamer and Beatrice S. (Foulk) Deamer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Roy C. Deamer III.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara L. (Wilt) Deamer; children, Tammy M. Shoup and husband, Michael, of York, Roy C. Deamer Jr. and wife, Brenda, of South Carolina, Deborah R. Deamer, of Lewistown, Lois A. Scott, of Lewistown, Miriam L. McMurry, of Lewistown; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Cherished by his siblings and family, he will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched.

Roy graduated from Juniata Joint High School in 1960 and was an active member of Gospel Chapel in Lewistown.

He was a truck driver for Zimmerman’s for 16 years.

One of Roy's greatest joys was bringing laughter to others and sharing treasured moments with his family, to whom he devoted his life.

In accordance with the family's wishes, no services will be held at this time.
