Obituary

Russell J. “Rusty” Miller, 65, of Juniata Terrace, Lewistown, passed away at 5:40 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born Oct. 23, 1957, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Carl Benjamin and Lorena Mary (Caretti) Miller.

Rusty is survived by: his sister, Patricia Otero, of Lewistown; niece, Erica Bell and husband, Jason, of Belleville; nephew, Tyler Otero and wife, Meredith, of Millstone, N.J.; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Caden, Reece, Elissa, Charlie and Sienna.

Rusty was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1975.

He was formerly employed at Lewistown Hospital and Scotty’s Fashions. He retired from the Mifflin County School District in 2020 as a custodian.

No services will be held. Private interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.

Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, is in charge of arrangements.
