Ruth S. Swartz, 75, of Lewistown, passed away April 22, 2025, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born December 24, 1949, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late James R. Stuck Sr. and Ella Mae (Blovelt) Stuck.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James R. Stuck Jr. and Carl D. Stuck.
She is survived by her children Jackie Cuff, of Arkansas, Nicole Decker, of Kentucky, and James D. Swartz, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Zayden, Zander, Brooklynn, Donovan, Kaleigh, Alyssa, and Eric; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Terry Lee Stuck, of Maitland, Carol Cox and husband, Bill, of Collegeville, and Sheila McKnight and companion, Wayne Hartley, of Lewistown.
Ruth worked as a waitress at Red’s Diner and was a loving homemaker.
She enjoyed watching movies, word search puzzles, and loved to play cards, especially Rummy 500.
A receiving of friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Solomon Shaffer officiating.
Interment will take place at Allensville Presbyterian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s memory to Breast Cancer Awareness.
