Sally Jo (Reese) King

Sally Jo King, 72, of Reedsville, passed away at 5:25 p.m., Sunday, March 26, 2023, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lewistown.

Born Jan. 30, 1951, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late James D. and Catherine A. (Weakland) Reese.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, James D. Reese, Jay Merrill Reese, and Eugene “Rip” Reese, and a sister, Mary Ellen Reese.

Sally is survived by: husband, Daniel King; sons, Dan King, of Lewistown, and Michael King and wife, Traci, of Reedsville; four grandchildren, Cody King and wife, Jenna, Carson King and fiancée, Emily Ramirez, Rachel King and companion, Gage Schaeffer, and Daniel King and companion, Hailey Rhodes; great-grandchildren, Claire, Joel and Augustus King; and sisters, Susanne Reese McCormick, of Fenwick Island, Del., and Catherine Reiss, of S.C.

Sally was a Chief Logan High School graduate, Class of 1968.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Lewistown.

Sally was employed as a receptionist for Drs. Campbell and Pine Orthodontics, Lewistown Office, for over 40 years, and part-time for Dr. Deborah Fiume Dentistry, Lewistown.

She was an avid Penn State football fan and enjoyed gardening.  She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2023, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 108 First Avenue, Burnham.

A Mass of Christian Burial service will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 1, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 106 North Dorcas Street, Lewistown, with Father William Weary officiating.

Interment will take place at Birch Hill Cemetery, Burnham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sally’s memory may be made to Sacred Heart School, 110 N. Dorcas St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
