Sara Trego Obituary

Sara D. Trego, 66, of Lewistown, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born on April 3, 1954, in Warren, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Walter E. and Roberta G. (Wiles) Coldren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Coldren.

She is survived by a husband, Stanley E. Trego, whom she married July 19, 1980; daughters, Sara Beth Trego, of Carlisle, Roberta L. Trego, of Carlisle, Susan E. Deihl and husband, Patrick, of Boiling Springs; two grandchildren, Marshall, and Morgan; and a brother, Paul E. Coldren and wife, Denise, of McClure.

Sara was a 1972 Delta High School graduate and received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education at Manchester College in 1976.

She was a member of First Church of the Brethren, in Lewistown. She was the church organist, a deaconess, and a board member.

Sara was a retired school teacher at Sacred Heart School, and later she worked in the jewelry department at Wal-Mart. She was on a team in the Senior Bowling League at Lewistown Lanes and took part in the annual Senior Games at the Area Agency on Aging.

A receiving of friends and family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 22, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.

A private funeral service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family, with Rev. Craig Gandy officiating.
