Sherry L. Kauffman

Sherry L. Kauffman, 63, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020, at her home.

Born May 13, 1957, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Jean (Wray) Kauffman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Murphy.

Sherry is survived by: children, Crystal Johnson and companion, Kevin Wise, of Longfellow, and Sean Johnson and wife, Danielle, of Granville, six grandchildren, Elani Johnson, Amber Goss, Kayla and Kameron Johnson, and Zachary and Libby Guthridge; a great-grandchild, Emrys Shumaker; and brothers, Barry Kauffman and wife, Debbie, of Milroy, Brian Weaver and companion, Beth Treaster, of Burnham, and Richard Murphy and wife, Sunny, of Lewistown.

She graduated from Kishacoquillas High School and received her Associates Degree in Child Psychology from Harrisburg Area Community College.

Sherry was a Jehovah's Witness.

She worked at Scotty's Fashions, Lewistown Specialty Yarns, Trinity, and lastly, at Standard Steel.  She also babysat through the years.

Sherry was dearly loved by her family and family meant everything to her, especially her grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
