Shirley A. Bollinger, 95, of Mount Union and formerly of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lewistown.
Born March 3, 1924, in Three Springs, she was a daughter of the late Orin and Ethel (Snyder) Park.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Melvin O. Bollinger, Dec. 7, 1980; a grandson, Scott Douglas Bollinger; brother, Orin S. Park; and three sisters, Jean Orth, Joyce Clippinger, and Sandra Grove.
Shirley is survived by: children, Sharon Knable and husband, Ronald, of Mount Union, Melvin D. Bollinger and wife, Judy, and Danny R. Bollinger and wife, Deborah, both of Lewistown; sister, Jane Hughes, of Mount Union; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Shirley was a member of First United Methodist Church in Three Springs.
In her earlier years, she worked at a sewing factory in Mount Union for 17 years. Later, she was employed by J.C. Blair Hospital for 10 years as a night supervisor in the environmental services department.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
