Shirley A. Brown

Shirley A. Brown, 88, of Lewistown, Passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born February 22, 1934, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Benn) Pennebaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Kenneth G. Brown; a brother; three sisters; a grandson, Rodney L. Henry Jr.; and a great -grandchild, Danon Beaston.

She is survived by; children, Debra Diven and husband, Ron, of Punxsutawney, and Carol Henry, of Reedsville; five grandchildren, Kelly Crawford and companion, Ed Bickel, Brian Diven and wife, Megan, Kenneth Henry and wife, Tammy, Lori Bonson and husband, Jason.

Shirley was a life member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Lewistown.

Earlier, in life she was a member of America’s Sweethearts.

She loved being with family, they were most important to her. She enjoyed making holiday meals, shopping, and traveling to Florida with her husband.

A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m., with Rev. Bernard Carpenter officiating.

Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
