Shirley D. Colabine, 84, of Beavertown, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born March 9, 1937, in Reedsville, she was a daughter of the late Roy F. and Zella M. (Bonson) Wagner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, James, and Jerry Colabine.
She is survived by; her husband, Harry L. Colabine Jr., whom she married June 17, 1953; children, Brenda Kauffman and husband, James, of Mifflintown, Sandra and husband, Sandy DiGiovanni, of Beavertown, Darlene Colabine, of Beavertown, Kathleen Rhodes, of Danville, Jesse Colabine, of Beavertown, and Jody Tharp and husband, Dan, of Beavertown; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, John Wagner, of Mifflintown, Betty Page, of Mifflintown, Paul Wagner and wife, Jane, of Mifflintown, Gladys Boyer and husband, Robert, of Port Royal, and Roy Wagner and wife, Jeanne, of McVeytown.
Shirley was a member of St. Peter’s Independent Church in Beavertown.
She enjoyed sewing, reading, listening to Christian music on the radio. Shirley was a terrific cook and baker, and she had a green thumb, she could grow anything.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham.
A second viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the funeral home with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., with Rev. Glen Smith, officiating.
Interment will take place at Mount Rock cemetery.
