Shirley Felmlee Lockett, 83, departed peacefully at her Lewistown home on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
Born February 10, 1942, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Charolette (Stayrook) Felmlee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry L. Lockett, and second husband, Albert Wilson; three infants; siblings, Walter, John, Russell, Glenn, David, and Gene Felmlee, Geraldine Folk, and Dorothy Yohn.
She is survived by her children Brenda Michalchik and husband Frederic, of McClure, Sandra DuBois and husband, David, of Lewistown; step-daughter, Jodie Reams and husband, Chad, of York; eight grandchildren, Blaise Michalchik and wife, Brooke, Jesse Michalchik, Amanda Priznar and husband, Damian, Lance DuBois and wife, Deidre, Chad DuBois and wife, Natalie, Mackenzie, Kylie and Logan Reams; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Charolette Phelps, of N.C., Lee Felmlee, of Reedsville; sister-in-law, Cecelia Robinson, of Honey Grove; brother-in-law, Rick Lockett, of N.C.; and lifelong best friends, Shirley Snook and Sandy Dietz.
A dedicated member and Deaconess at Parkview Church of the Brethren. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Shirley was a 1960 Chief Logan High School graduate.
She was co-owner of Lockett Lures, a company her husband started and they ran it together.
Shirley’s life was enriched by her many close relationships. She valued her family deeply, maintaining constant connections through phone calls and shopping trips.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 20, 2025, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the funeral home with Rev. Teresa Fink and Pastor Jeff Snyder officiating. Interment will follow at Juniata Memorial Park.
