Shirley Margaret (Snook) Pandel

Shirley Margaret Pandel, 86, of Burnham, passed away at 12:48 p.m., Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born Feb. 6, 1937, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Ida (Gross) Snook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Pandel Sr. on Nov. 19, 1986, five brothers, her sister, and a daughter-in-law, Donna Pandel.

Shirley is survived by:  children, Rodger Pandel and Ronald Pandel Jr. and wife, Amy, both of Lewistown, Maryanne Pandel, of Burnham, and Amy Murphy and husband, Paul, of Mifflin; five grandchildren, Stefen Pandel, Misty Perez and husband, Jose, Shawn Pandel, Aleshia Pandel, Kyle Pandel, and Cayleigh Murphy.

She was a graduate of Lewistown High School.

In her earlier years, Shirley was employed at G.C. Murphy Co. in downtown Lewistown as a sales clerk.

She was an avid Penn State fan.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023, at Juniata Memorial Park, 9010 U.S. Highway 522 South, Lewistown, with Pastor Steven Small Jr. officiating.
