Shirley Linda Schell, 71, passed away at 2:03 p.m., Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born March 31, 1953, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Irvin Daniel and Mary Ellen (Eby) Showalter.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. “Rocky” Schell.

Shirley is survived by: children, Shelly Ann Pachowski and husband, Scott, of Lewistown, Mark Smith, of McVeytown, and Theresa Henry and husband, Troy, of Lewistown; stepdaughter, Loretta Garcia, of Lewistown; a grandson; and brother, Terry Showalter, of McVeytown.

Shirley graduated from Mount Union High School, Class of 1971.

She attended The Upper Room Church, formerly in Lewistown.

Shirley was employed in her earlier years at Scotty’s Fashions as a textile worker.

She enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, and adult coloring books.

A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown, with Mr. Justin Sellers officiating.
