Steven W. Gaff

Steven W. Gaff, 56, of Lewistown, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.

Born January 1, 1966, in Huntingdon, he was a son of the late Bernard E. Sr. and Linda K. (Spital) Gaff.

Steve is survived by his wife, Barbara (Kochenderfer) Gaff; stepchildren, Carla Warner and husband, James Scott, of Mt. Clemens, Mich., James C. Wagner and wife, Chrissy, of Lewistown, Emmy Wagner Guers, of Lewistown; step grandchildren, Alicia Quintero and husband, Luis, Randa Wagner, Noah Wagner, Aspen Evans Hoover, Jordan Beers and Erin Henry; step great-grandchildren, Antonio, Leonel, Deklan, and Kaden Evans; siblings, Bernard Gaff Jr. and wife, Pam, of Elderton, and Brenda Hutchinson and husband, Phillip, of Lewistown.

He was a high school graduate of Elderton High School and a college graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.

Steve worked for Ryder as a truck driver.

He was a member of Masonic lodge #203.

Steve loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved his dachshund’s, Rumble and Tinkerbell, and his dogs Bonnie and Clyde that had passed away.  He loved to travel and enjoyed going to Nascar, Indy races and dirt track races. He was an all-around great guy, a ray of sunshine to many who knew him, and will be missed by many.

A celebration of life service will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Rec Park Community Center, 108 Montgomery Ave., Lewistown.

Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
