Steven E. Hooper, 80, of Mifflintown, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, at his home.

Born May 3, 1945, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Elmer H. and LaVonda G. (Smith) Hooper.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Donald L. Hooper.

He is survived by a brother David E. Hooper and wife, Amanda, of Port Royal;

nephews, Michael D. Hooper and wife, Sonya,  Adam L. Hooper and wife, Rhonda, Joseph P. Hooper, Jason J. Hooper and wife, Amanda; and a niece, Lavelle Millisock and husband, Michael.

Steve was a 1963 graduate of Rothrock High School, and a Penn State University graduate.

He was a member of Bunkertown Brethren Church.

Steve was a United States National Guard veteran.

He retired from SCI in Huntingdon.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with his family, and gardening.

A graveside service will take place at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Monroe Valley Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace, Huntingdon County, PA 17264.

Memorial contributions in Steven’s memory may be made to Bunkertown Brethren Church, 52 Bunkertown Rd., McAlisterville, PA 17049.
