Thelma P. ‘Mag’ Carter, 89, of McClure, passed away, Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Greenwood Village.
Born September 19, 1935, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur M. Druckemiller, Sr. and Viola (Snook) Druckemiller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Carter, Sr.; children, Wendy Stever and Harold Carter, Jr.; granddaughters, Tiffany Kahley, Andrea Kahley and Carin Carter; brothers, Martin, Melvin, Wilbur Jr., and Glen and a sister, Virginia Rosenberry.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl Goss and husband, Timothy, of McClure, Mark Carter of Milroy and Neal Carter of Milroy; siblings, Marjorie Knepp of McClure, Linda Everly and husband, Harry, of Lewistown, Betty Ritter of McClure and David Druckemiller of Lewistown; ten grandchildren and many loving great-grandchildren.
Thelma was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, where she found spiritual community and strength.
She was a devoted homemaker, finding deep fulfillment in caring for her family and creating a warm, welcoming home and enjoyed quilting.
A viewing will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown.
