On Saturday, December 21, 2019, the soul of Thelma V. (Stitt) Null, 96, of Lewistown, took flight and was united with her Lord.
Born May 1, 1923, in Roaring Fork, Va., she was a daughter of the late Carl E. and Nancy J. (Tate) Stitt.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: three brothers, Stanley Stitt, Harold Stitt and Gwen Stitt; three sisters, Louise Stitt, Hazel Cooper, and Lochiel Kauffman; and a son, Stanley Null.
She is survived by: two sisters, Margaret Hetrick and Allene Fleck; her children, David Null and wife, Mary, of Marysville, and Shirley Stoner and husband, Lewis, of Lewistown; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was a member of God's Missionary Church in Lewistown.
Thelma was employed for many years as a nursing assistant at Valley View Haven in Belleville, Pa., from where she retired in 1995 at the age of 72.
Her family was her life and becoming a grandmother was one of her greatest joys.
A private family viewing and burial took place on December 24, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at God's Missionary Church, 1107 W. Fifth St., Lewistown, with Pastor Darvin Donahey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to God's Missionary Church at the above address.
