Thomas H. "Tommy" Bender III

Thomas H. “Tommy” Bender III, 48, of McVeytown, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019.

Born December 9, 1970 in Lewistown, he is a son of Thomas H. Bender Jr. and Shannon (King) Bender, both of Lewistown.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by: companion, Fiona Chandler, of McVeytown; children, Thomas H. Bender IV, and Hannah Bender, of McVeytown; maternal grandmother, Patricia King, of Lewistown; and a brother, Kenneth “Mikey” McCoy Jr., his son, Luke McCoy and daughter, Katie McCoy, of Lewistown; numerous aunts and uncles and their families.

Tommy was employed by ACPI in Thompsontown.

He loved spending time with his children and loved being involved in both their sports activities. He enjoyed going to the gym and working out with his son and going out to eat with his family.

A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, December 2, 2019, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m., with Pastor Sean Moon officiating.
