Thomas St. John

Thomas St. John, 68, of Lewistown, passed away at 5 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2024, at his home.

Born Feb. 8, 1956, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Francis Sr. and Betty (Wilt) St. John.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by several uncles, a brother, Patrick St. John, and sisters, Kathleen Leahy and Jewel St. John.

Thomas is survived by:  longtime companion, Connie (Brannon) Haubrick; his four children, Lisa, Loretta, Joe and Karen; Connie’s children, Holly Sweitzer, Scott Brannon and wife, Carolyn, and Daniel Brannon, all of Lewistown; grandchildren, Jasmine and Jada Brannon, and Liam Brannon; great-grandchildren, Jace and Payton; and siblings, Francis St. John Jr., and wife, Gloria, of Port Royal, Michael St. John and wife, Susan, of Denholm, and Pauline Smouse, of Lewistown.

He was a graduate of Juniata High School.

Thomas was the owner and operator of Tom’s Tree Service.  He also did electrical work as needed.

He enjoyed attending auctions, tinkering with old cars, and spending time with his grandchildren.  Tom was especially fond of taking Liam to Malta Park.

A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Mr. Buck Carolus officiating.

Interment will take place at Lind Memorial Cemetery, Green Avenue, Lewistown.
