Thomas W. “Stu” Wilson, 72, of Lewistown, passed away at 5:30 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Sept. 16, 1951, in Huntingdon, he was a son of the late Thomas H. Wilson and Doris L. (Kennedy) Wilson, of Belleville, who survives.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Wilson, brother, Timothy Wilson, granddaughter, Katie, and brother-in-law, Bob Sharp.
In addition to his mother, Thomas is survived by: wife, Kathleen A. “Kathy” (Boreman) Wilson; daughters, Amanda Wilson, of Wyoming, and Emily Wagner and husband, Jim, of Reedsville; five step-children, Eric Kinslow, of Lewistown, Heidi Stonerook and husband, Nate, of McVeytown, Lance Shellenberger and wife, Dawn, of Texas, Vincent Shellenberger and wife, Jessica, of N.C., and Janelle Umberger and husband, Matt, of Palmyra; 14 grandchildren, Thai, Jackson, Aiden, Brynn, Paige, Logan, Easton, Zalee, Shelby, Landon, Somer, Lilian, Noah, and Briggs; great-grandchildren, Warren, Leanna, and Harper; sisters, Jane Luke and husband, Frank, of Belleville, Cindy Sharp, of Lewistown, and Betty Jo Johnson and husband, George, of Milroy; and many nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Kishacoquillas High School, Class of 1969.
Thomas served in the U.S. Air Force from March 1971 to Dec. 1973, and was assigned to the 475th Air Base Wing in Japan.
He retired from Standard Steel Corporation as a Melt Shop supervisor, with 40 years of service. Thomas also did landscaping for J.R. Randolph’s Landscaping for many years and trimmed vineyards for Brookmere Winery in Belleville.
Thomas loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He also loved sports.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
