Timothy L. Collins, 70, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born March 25, 1954 in Lewistown, he was the son of the late George H. and Marion (Ganoe) Collins.
Tim is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy (Ellinger) Collins; children, Joseph Collins, of Lewistown, Jonathan Collins, of Allentown, and Janet (Ryan) Hutchinson, of Port Royal; grandchildren, Grayson and Lincoln Hutchinson, of Port Royal; and a brother, George D. “Pat” Collins (Linda), of North Carolina.
He was a 1972 graduate of Penn Highlands High School – Lewistown campus and had attended West Virginia University.
Tim was a member of the Granville United Methodist Church where he served the church in many capacities over the years as Sunday school superintendent, member of SPRC, member of the church council, Sunday school teacher and youth leader.
He had an assortment of jobs, most notably being a partner in Collins Brothers Wholesale Foods for 20 years.
Tim enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandsons, Penn State football & antiquing (having booths first at Dairyland and then at Big Valley Antique Center).
A viewing will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 6-8 p.m., at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 10-11 a.m., and the memorial service will be at 11 a.m., at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
