Tonda L. Stewart

Tonda L. Stewart, 53, of Lewistown, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021, at home.

Born September 29, 1967, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of Albert and Julia Brower, of Lewistown.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by; the love of her life, her husband of 15 years, John B. Stewart; children, Ashley Kauffman, of Burnham, Christopher Stewart and wife, Heather, of Lewistown, and Kira Shaw, of Lewistown; grandchildren, who were the joy of her life; Mason, Mattie, Caden, Nicholas, Brantley, Bryson and Kairianna; siblings, Pamela Brower, of Lewistown, Wanda Armstrong and husband, Robin, of McClure, and Rodney Brower and wife, Toni, of Lewistown.

In her earlier years, she worked for Lowes and the Giant Store in Burnham, with her last 12 years working at H&R Block.

Tonda loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed making all the many wonderful memories that they can hold near and dear to their hearts.

She held a great love for animals, like supplying outdoor shelter and food for all the neighborhood cats. Her biggest joy was her yearly vacations to Ocean City, Maryland, Chincoteague Island and Assateague Island to enjoy the wild horses. It is where she also made some wonderful friendships with many others who enjoyed the location as well.

She may have passed on too soon, but she left us all with loving memories to hold on to for a lifetime. May she rest in peace.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
