Virginia Shannon Obituary
Virginia H. Shannon, 83, formerly of Milroy, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022, at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.
Born March 14, 1939, in Milroy, she was a daughter of the late William L. Treaster Sr. and Sylvia (Hubler) Treaster.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; her husband, James Shannon; and siblings, Mary Nearhood, Paul Treaster, James Treaster, Charles Treaster, Shirley Richard, and Elma Lee; half-brother, Merl Hubler; half-sister, Gertie Dull.
She is survived by; daughters, Rena Weikel and husband, James, of Reedsville, Ruth Davis and husband, Andy, of Williamsport; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Betty Fuhman, of Selinsgrove, William Treaster, of Richfield, Inez McKnight and husband, Ken, of Naginey, Barbara Hicks, of Selinsgrove, and Glenn Treaster and wife, Penny, of Lewistown.
Ginny and her late husband traveled the country together as Carnival workers.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with a memorial service to follow at 12 p.m., with Pastor Bradley Kauffman officiating.
The interment will take place in Birch Hill Cemetery.
