Obituary
Walter T. Stoner Jr., 76, of Lewistown, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Sept. 14, 1946, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Walter T. Stoner Sr. and Helen (Ettinger) Stoner. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, William D. and Charles L. Stoner.
He is survived by his sister, Helen McElwain, of Granville.
Walter was a graduate of Chief Logan High School, Class of 1966.
He was employed as a laborer by Mann Edge Tool Company.
Walter loved his family, especially his great-niece, Chloe Mae, and her parents, Cody McElwain and wife, Jen. He enjoyed taking walks and loved his dog, Lucy.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.
Interment will take place at Lind Memorial Cemetery, Green Avenue, Lewistown.
