William W. Groff

William W. Groff, 51, of Lewistown, passed away at 11:18 a.m., Monday, May 2, 2022, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born Aug. 29, 1970, in Lancaster, he was the son of Barry L. Groff, of East Berlin, and Sharon (Wakefield) Clayton, of Lewistown, who both survive.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, David Clayton.

In addition to his parents, William is survived by: son, Torin Groff, of Bainbridge, Pa.; his sister, Ami Stoutzenberger and husband, Josh, of Reedsville; stepmother and wife of Barry, Deborah L. Groff; stepsister, Kimberly Shellenberger and husband, Jeff, of York; and many nieces and nephews.

He was a graduate of McCaskey High School in Lancaster and served in the United States Army.

William loved his family and going to the beach.  He was an avid sports fan, and especially enjoyed following his favorite teams, the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Phillies.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
