William W. Moore Sr., of Duncansville, formerly of Burnham, 92, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020, at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
Born June 25, 1927, in Burnham, he was a son of the late Carl and Evelyn (Henry) Moore.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife of 45 years, Marie M. Moore; and a sister, Mary “Sis” Miller.
He is survived by: a son, William W. Moore Jr. and wife, Molly, of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren, Bailey Moore and Casey Moore; siblings, Paul Moore, of Huntingdon, George Moore and wife, Peg, of Belleville, Bob Moore, of McVeytown, Jim Moore, of Belleville, Ronnie Moore and wife, Svetlana, of Blairs Mills, and Betty Kline, of Lewistown.
He attended Freedom Ave. UMC
William was a Class of 1945 Lewistown High School graduate.
He was a United States Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
Earlier in life, he worked for the railroad and Standard Steel. He worked Security for the Federal Government and for the General Service Administration in Harrisburg, retiring after 35 years of service.
He enjoyed the music of Elvis and Johnny Cash.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
Interment will take place at Birch Hill Cemetery.
