William H. Warntz, 73, of Lewistown, passed away at 1:38 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Jan. 22, 1947, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Harold C., Sr. and Rachel E. (Vaughn) Warntz.
William is survived by: his wife, Alice (Snook) Warntz; stepdaughters, Ashley Johnson and husband, Jesse, of Blossburg, and Katlin Emerson, of Ridgway; siblings, Harold Warntz Jr., of Mich., Naomi Rigel, of Harrisburg, and Frank Warntz and wife, Debbie, of N.C.; numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving cat, Magic.
He graduated from Lewistown High School, Class of 1965.
He attended Penn State University, Altoona Campus.
He served in the Army Reserve at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
He was a member of Evangel Baptist Church, Lewistown.
William worked at the Arrow Shirt Factory in his earlier years. He later retired from Overhead Door Corporation.
He loved watching Penn State football and all collegiate sports, the Carolina Panthers, NASCAR and horse racing.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 15, 2020, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, at Juniata Memorial Park, 9010 US Highway 522 South, Lewistown, with Rev. Bill Howe officiating.
