William “Bill” Howard Force, 82, of Reedsville, passed away at 5:03 p.m., Friday, December 1, 2023, at his home.
Born April 10, 1941, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Raymond H. and Carrie (Orner) Force.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Edward Force and Gary Force, and a sister, Barbara Yohn.
Bill is survived by his wife, Margaret M. (Seby) Force, and a sister, Jean McConnell.
He was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1959.
Bill was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He served from Oct. 1959 to Sep. 1963 while stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C.
Bill was a 50-year member of First Baptist Church, Lewistown.
He was owner and operator of W.H. Force Armature Works in Reedsville, and faithfully sponsored the W.H. Force Armature Works Little League team each year. Bill was an avid fly fisherman and was a local chapter member of Trout Unlimited. He adored his little dachshund, Jennie.
A military graveside service will begin at 12:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, at Birch Hill Cemetery, Eighth Avenue, Burnham, with Mr. Eric Sherman officiating.
Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Avenue, Burnham, is in charge of arrangements.
