Winifred R. (Bookwalter) Dupert

Winifred R. Dupert, 93, of Lewistown, passed away at 8:20 a.m., Monday, Sept. 4, 2023, at Greenwood Village.

Born June 17, 1930, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late David R. and Ruth F. (Querry) Bookwalter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred H. Dupert Sr., sisters, Letha Gahagan and Dorothy Bookwalter, and a grandson, Jason Dupert.

Winifred is survived by:  children, Linda R. Slemons, of Lewistown, Fred H. Dupert Jr. and wife, Pat, of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Penny K. Hannon and companion, Bert, of Lewistown; five grandchildren, Wendy Bickhart and Rhonda Pandel, both of Lewistown, Jared Dupert, of Sioux Falls, S.D., Chris Ross, of Mechanicsburg, and Jeannie Rodriguez, of Carlisle; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Lois S. Briggs, of Lewistown, Fern L. Bookwalter, of Springfield, Mo., and Donald R. Bookwalter, of Attleboro, Ma.

Winifred was a member of New Life Church in Burnham.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown.

A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 11, at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Jared Dupert officiating.

Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
