Obituary
Zelpha May Vanada, of Lewistown, 92, of Lewistown, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Greenwood Village.
She was born on January 31, 1931, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late William T. and Mary (Hartley) Morison.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by; husband, Ronald I. Vanada Sr.; sons, Robert E. Gregg, Ronald Lynn Gregg, and Thomas E. Lawler III; siblings, Jack Morrison, Nellie Roberts, Peggy Stine, Emma Hendricks, and Audrey Specht.
She is survived by; stepchildren; Ronald I. Vanada Jr., of New Kent VA, and Judy Stauffer and husband, Marlin, of Yeagertown; siblings, Joseph Morrison, of Phoenix, AZ, and Betty Osborne, of Lewistown; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one step grandchild.
Zelpha was a member of Yeagertown United Methodist Church and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Elks Lodge #663.
Early in life, she worked at the Arrow Shirt Factory and later at the Hofbrau, and in her home she kept busy as a hairdresser.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Juniata Memorial Park, with Pastor Steven Small officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
