Deepest sympathy to Barb and family. From a former neighbor, I enjoyed conversations with Nelson over the years, and I'll always remember the great fishing trip that we went to in New York. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Nelson was a friendly and humorous colleague at L.A.H.S. He knew how to brighten one's day and laugh at the trivialities plus oneself! Prayers and the Lord's comfort during this time of sorrow.

He was a wonderful person and a great teacher. We both enjoyed his Science class so much. Mr. Hertzler made the class fun and we enjoyed his sense of humor. His obit picture is exactly how we remember him - with that great smile!

Thank you Karen for your post. Your son Dan is a fine young man. He was very professional yet understanding and very helpful and patient with us. When you live in a small town people really come together to help one another. I'm sure Dan will do very well in life.
